Sharon’s STORY SO FAR…
Recognised by government bodies, businesses, charities, women’s organisations, high schools/colleges and Nottinghamshire police, Sharon has been empowering people since 2012. Her 3 h’s – humility, honesty and humour makes Sharon’s delivery unique, and her 30-year struggle with mental health issues instantly caught the interest of the national media. Since starting out on her mental health awareness journey, she has featured in countless publications. The most recognised being Stella Magazine, Bella, Psychologies, Woman’s Own, Scottish Woman, Daily Express, and Daily Mirror. Interviews have included ITV’s This Morning with Eammon and Ruth, BBC’s Inside Out, BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine and more recently GB News.
Sharon is an inspirational speaker, the author of Thirty Years in Silence and the creator of the highly recommended and unique journalling workshop called ‘The Power of YOU.’ More recently, Sharon has developed a further 3 journals/workshops – ‘This is ME’ ( girls 11-16 years), ‘Map to Fantastique’ ( girls – using mapping as a tool for wellbeing) and ‘Because You CAN’ a follow on to ‘The Power of YOU’.
Jools Holland OBE and Dr Mark Williamson, Director of Action for Happiness were just two of the well-known names that endorsed her recently republished book Thirty Years in Silence ( Stripped Bare).
Sharon is also the founder and director of Compassionate Voices CIC and the mastermind behind the growing ladies community ‘Compassionate Voices’. Since 2020 the charitable organisation has supported over 400 women through the ‘Power of YOU’ wellbeing & empowerment workshops and Step Out activities and events.
